Thank you for your interest in our new Swimwear Collection. I shall explain a little bit about how ordering is going to work initially and also go over some FAQ to help answer any questions you may have. If anything is not explained in here and you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
To be able to offer you, our customers, as much variety and choice as possible we are not going to be carrying every possible size, print and style in stock, as frankly that would be crazy and a big risk on our behalf, so instead we shall be placing bulk orders with our manufacturing partner once we know what you would like.
What does this really mean?
Well, it means that once you commit to purchasing either swimwear, leggings, yoga mats or beach blankets you will need to wait approximately 3-4 weeks for your order to arrive.
Timescales are slightly longer at the moment due to Covid-19 as not as many staff can work in the factory so hopefully these timescales will improve as the summer continues. We will, of course keep you up to date on the progress of your order and if items come in quicker than expected we will get them to you promptly.
With this in mind, sizing is going to be the biggest issue. Getting it right is going to be even more important as you wouldn’t want to have to wait a further 3-4 weeks if you need to exchange your original purchase for the size up or down!
Therefore study the sizing chart closely. Feel free to send me your measurements and I can give you my advice.
Due to lockdown restrictions I can’t open the studio quite yet but I do have a limited range of samples in some of the sizes and styles available so you are very welcome to borrow several to try for 24 hours. We can arrange collection/ drop off directly.
Can I try the swimwear for size?
Firstly we recommend taking a look at our sizing guide to help you pick your perfect swimsuit for your size and shape. If you measure your waist and hips you can compare it to our sizing chart to see which ‘dress size’ would be suitable for you. If you are between sizes then you can decide if you prefer a more snug fit (go for the size down) or a more looser fit (size up).
We currently have a few sample sizes that you are welcome to borrow and try at home (keeping your underwear on; these will be wash frequently). As lockdown restrictions ease and we can reopen the studio you are very welcome to come and try swimwear and leggings on using our bathrooms.
Should I keep my underwear on when trying my swimwear for the first time?
Yes please. We ask you to keep your underwear on when trying on your swimwear the first time so that we can easily exchange it if the sizing isn’t perfect.
Why do you not use hygiene stickers in the crotch area?
Hygiene stickers in the crotch area of swimsuits and bikinis are typically made from plastic that goes straight into landfill. We prefer not to use these single use plastic items and instead ask all our customers to keep their knickers on when trying an item on for the first time and until they are happy with the item.
I am between sizes, which one should I go for?
Ideally you’d like to try both on to see which fits best as no two bodies are the same. Therefore you could order two pairs, one in each size and return the one that does not fit.
However, if you are between sizes then you can decide if you prefer a more snug fit (go for the size down) or a more looser fit (size up).
I’m long in the body, how does that affect my sizing?
For swimsuits, if you are long in the body simply go up a dress size to allow for additional length in the piece. For bikini’s this won’t affect your sizing at all- simply order as usual.
Do your swimsuits and bikinis have padding?
We don’t have any padding in any of our suits or bikinis. It is currently not possible for us to offer padding in these shapes and styles, however we are looking into a few options so if this is the deal breaker for you please log your interest with us and we will update you of our progress.
If no padding fills you with fear we can suggest you try using some removable pads from another swimsuit/ bikini you already own and tuck them into the suit or bikini top to give you an extra layer of nipple coverage / breast padding.
The Lycra fabric we use to make our swimwear does provide support and shape due to the flattering cut of the swimsuits.
Can I get a different size bikini top and a different size bikini bottom?
Yes, our bikinis come as a set but you can pick your dress size for the bottoms and a cup size for the top. As they have ties they are fully adjustable so it just means that tops have more fabric the larger the cup size.
How do I wash my swimwear?
Each of our swimwear products does come with a care label stitched into it, if you remove this make sure you make note of the instructions before you throw it away.
As a general rule we recommend rinsing your swimwear after every use in cool water and hanging to dry. Pop in the machine on 30 degrees every 2-3 uses. Do not bleach, iron or tumble dry.
Where is your swimwear made?
We use a manufacturing partner in the UK that print, cut and stitch each product before shipping it to our Studio in Guernsey.
I have ordered the wrong size, what can I do?
If you have ordered the wrong size swimwear as long as you keep the labels and packaging it came in you can return for a different size or a take a credit note. Please ensure you have not worn the products before returning them. Keep underwear on when trying on swimwear items.
